Urgent action! Time is running out to protect CT residents from toxic PFAS in 2024!
The 2024 Connecticut legislative session ends May 8th. That means we need to make a strong final push urging our elected officials to protect our waterways from toxic PFAS. Please send a message to your legislators today!
Why? Toxic chemicals shouldn’t be near our food, our water, or our children. But toxic PFAS are still found in many household items like some carpets, cookware, outdoor apparel, cosmetics, and baby gear even though safer alternatives exist. PFAS don’t break down in the environment, so these toxic “forever chemicals” accumulate in our water and in our bodies.
We can’t get the PFAS out of our water if we continue selling products containing PFAS in our state! This year, state legislatures across the country are proposing bans on the use of PFAS in many common products. You can help!
Send a message to your state legislators today asking them to support Senate Bill 292: AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF PFAS IN CERTAIN PRODUCTS. It’s time to “turn off the tap” on toxic PFAS!
(We wrote a sample message to get you started! Enter your address below, so we can look up your legislators for you!)
