Clean Action & Clean Water Fund’s Pittsburgh Office is hosting its 13th Annual Fall Fundraiser and Dewey Award. This year’s event coincides with a celebration of the 50th anniversary of our organization. During the event we’ll recognize State Senator Jay Costa, former Post Gazette environmental reporter Don Hopey, and The Breathe Project for their efforts on behalf of our community and environment!
The event supports our efforts to improve democracy, develop strong grassroots leadership, and bring together diverse communities. Proceeds from last year’s event helped us secure some major local victories, including passage of legislation in the City of Pittsburgh to address common lead pathways by preventing exposure through improved inspections, remediation, renovations and demolitions, as well as helping enact a countywide ban on fracking in county parks.
