Write to Governor Baker and the members of the Massachusetts legislature to urge them to protect children, firefighters and families from toxic chemicals.
Toxic chemicals linked to cancer, asthma, learning disabilities, infertility and a host of other health problems are pervasive in our everyday lives.
Toxic flame retardant chemicals are found in children’s products, furniture, mattresses, carpeting and window coverings, but they’re not needed for fire safety. Toxic PFAS chemicals (the “forever chemicals” found in non-stick coatings on pans) are added to some food packaging. Both get into our environment and our bodies and are linked to serious health impacts.
PLEASE urge the Massachusetts legislature and Governor Baker to ban toxic flame retardants (H.3500/S.2349) and PFAS in food packaging (H.3839/S.1315).
