In the summer of 2019, the Whitmer Administration began a rule-making process to create Michigan’s first-ever enforcement drinking water standards for seven PFAS chemicals. The Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy has finalized its MCL (maximum contaminant level), and while we are glad that Michigan is being proactive about regulating PFAS, we must make sure this rule is as strong as it possibly can be and protects the health of our most vulnerable populations. Join us in submitting recommendations to make Michigan a leader in PFAS regulation.
